New Ottawa Trucks arrived for Andipuerto
Three brand new Ottawa ‘Kalmar’ Terminal Trucks arrived for Andipuerto.
These trucks are very flexible on either connecting with dump trailers or
Bed-Platforms as for handling steel or bulk cargoes from pier onto warehouses
or yards within Andipuerto. These units will add to the existing 11 units already
operating at the Terminal.
New dry-bulk inland transport.
A new dynamics in logistics has certainly been given with the introduction of Convector services
allowing dry bulk products to be delivered from vessel´s hold into trucks which allows
receivers to take delivery of cargo ‘off hook’ with further transport services to their own warehouses.
Piles already in place for Silos
The new dry-port facility in the city of Duran located in the suburbs of Guayaquil
in full construction with the injection of piles for the foundation of seven silos to be
ready for operation in October of 2014. This is an important investment which will
enhance further silo storage capacity for imported or domestic agri-dry products.
